Outschool publishes two coupon codes of its own right now. NEWTERM20 takes $20 off your first class，和 MEMBER20 takes $20 off the first month of a membership. Both were showing on outschool.com on October 14, 2026. You can only use one per household, and they can't be combined.

Beyond those two codes, the best savings on Outschool come from its referral vouchers, a membership if your child takes classes every week, and state ESA or charter school funding in many US states.

How to use an Outschool coupon code

1. Create a free parent account on outschool.com.
2. Pick a class and start the enrollment.
3. At checkout, enter NEWTERM20 before you pay. Class codes only work on a new enrollment, not on a renewal or a weekly class you're unpausing.
4. For a membership, enter MEMBER20 on the membership checkout instead.

Outschool's promotion rules are strict: one use per household, adults only, no combining with other offers, and no refunds on the promotional value. Creating a second account to reuse a code breaks its terms. Teachers can also run their own coupons for their classes, but Outschool doesn't allow those to be posted on coupon sites, so you'll only find them on a teacher's own page or in a message from them.

What Outschool classes cost

Teachers set their own prices, so costs vary widely. On Outschool's public class pages we saw:

• Live group classes: about $8 to $24 per class.
• Self-paced classes: about $10 to $18 per week.
• 1-on-1 tutoring: about $25 to $57 per session.

If you pay per class, Outschool adds a marketplace fee at checkout, a percentage of the class price. Some classes meet once, some run for a few weeks, and weekly classes are billed every Sunday morning like a subscription until you stop them. Outschool serves ages 1 to 18, and its homepage says more than 1.5 million families have used it.

Is an Outschool membership cheaper?

A membership gives you monthly credits to spend on any class, shared across all your children. Outschool says members save 5 to 10% compared with paying per class, and they skip the marketplace fee. Members also get more than 100 self-paced classes for free.

Each credit is worth 50 cents, and the larger plans include bonus credits. Unused credits roll over while your membership is active, and you can pause for up to 12 weeks. Plans are sold in US dollars only. Membership pays off for families who book at least one class every week; for an occasional class, paying per class and using NEWTERM20 is simpler.

Outschool referral vouchers

If a family you know already uses Outschool, ask for their invite link before you sign up. Both households get a voucher. Yours arrives when you create and verify your account and works on your first live class or a new membership. The family that invited you gets theirs when your child attends a first live class. Vouchers last 90 days, and Outschool doesn't publish the amount, which it says can change. Self-paced classes and chat groups don't count toward the referral.

Paying with ESA, scholarship or charter funds

Outschool is an approved vendor for Education Savings Account programs in several states and a pre-approved vendor for many charter schools. Its help center lists programs including ClassWallet (Arizona and other states), Step Up for Students in Florida, the West Virginia Hope Scholarship and Utah's Children First Education Fund. You can filter class search by funding program. For Arizona ESA purchases, Outschool also offers an ESA Reimbursement Guarantee if the state denies a qualifying reimbursement.

Gift cards work on any class and on membership charges. If your employer offers a Dependent Care FSA, check your plan's rules: Outschool provides receipts but doesn't guarantee coverage.

Refunds and the Learning Experience Pledge

• Single classes: cancel within 24 hours of buying for a refund. If the class starts sooner than that, cancel before it begins. Missed meetings aren't refunded.
• Teacher cancellations: a full refund if the teacher cancels before the first meeting or misses a one-time class, and a prorated refund if they cancel partway through.
• Not a good fit: contact support within a week of the first class and the Learning Experience Pledge gives you a voucher for the full class price. You can use it up to three times a year, and the voucher expires after 90 days. Classes paid with public funds are excluded.
• Memberships: a full refund only if you cancel within 24 hours of the first month's charge and haven't used any credits. Renewals aren't refunded.
