Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Class Coupon (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Speed Learning mobile application and related services (the “App”). By using the App you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who we are

The App is operated by Class Coupon. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@classcoupon.com.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Account information

When you create an account, our authentication provider (Clerk) collects and stores your email address and password credentials, and issues a session token. We receive your user ID and email so we can associate your content with your account. We never see or store your raw password.

2.2 Content you provide

• Documents & text you type, paste, or import.
• Files you upload (e.g. PDF, Word, spreadsheets, text, ZIP), which we parse to extract text.
• Web links you submit, the contents of which we fetch and parse to extract readable text.
• Photos / camera images you choose to scan, which are processed to recognize and extract text.
• Voice input when you use voice translation (see §4).
• CSV imports (e.g. exported Google Translate history) when you choose to import translations.

2.3 Data the App generates

• Extracted facts, summaries, and AI-generated study material.
• Translations, romanizations, and pronunciations you request.
• Learning progress, spaced-repetition state, starred/bookmarked items, tags, notes, and settings.

2.4 Device & technical information

• App version, device platform/OS, and your selected app language/locale.
• Basic server logs (e.g. request metadata and error logs) used for security and reliability.

We do not use third-party advertising identifiers, ad networks, or behavioral-tracking analytics SDKs.

3. How we use your information

• To provide the core features: extracting facts, translating, generating pronunciations, and tracking your learning.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To store and sync your content and progress across the App.
• To diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
• To respond to your support requests and feedback.

4. Microphone, speech recognition & audio

If you use voice translation, the App accesses your microphone and uses your device’s built-in speech-recognition service (provided by Apple on iOS or Google on Android) to convert speech to text. Depending on your device settings, that audio may be processed on-device or sent to Apple/Google for transcription under their respective privacy policies. We do not retain raw audio recordings on our servers.

When you request a spoken pronunciation, the text to be spoken is sent to a text-to-speech service (Microsoft Edge TTS) to generate audio.

5. Camera & photos

If you scan text from an image, the App accesses your camera or photo library only for the image you select. The image is processed to extract text (including by our AI provider, see §6). We do not browse or upload your photo library.

6. AI processing

Core features rely on AI. Content you submit (text from documents, files, links, or images, and text you ask to translate) is sent to Anthropic (the “Claude” API) for processing — to extract facts, translate, or recognize text. This content is transmitted securely and processed to return results to you. Anthropic processes the data as our service provider; please also review Anthropic’s applicable privacy and data-usage terms.

7. Service providers & sub-processors

We share data with the following providers only as needed to operate the App:

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

8. Data storage, location & security

Your data is stored on our providers’ infrastructure (including the United States and other regions where those providers operate). We protect data in transit using encryption (HTTPS/TLS) and apply standard security controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

9. Data retention & account deletion

We retain your account data and content for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the App (Profile → Delete Account). Deleting your account permanently removes your content and learning data from our systems, and requests deletion of your authentication record from Clerk. Some records may persist briefly in encrypted backups or be retained where required by law, after which they are purged. You may also email us to request deletion.

10. Your rights

Depending on your location (e.g. under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise most of these directly in the App, or contact us at privacy@classcoupon.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

11. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. International transfers

Because our providers operate globally, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
